ABOUT THIS EVENT
Hosted by Sarah Dunkley, 9th grader at Polytechnic Institute in Baltimore City, this mini-symposium will feature parents, students, educators and experts from around Maryland, and their experiences on how racism is prevalent in public schools. They will share their ideas and on what can be done to ensure that schools are culturally responsive, intentionally antiracist, and places where the lives of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other children of color are affirmed and uplifted.
Keynote Address: Dr. Khalilah M. Harris, managing director for K-12 Education Policy at American Progress.
Artist Performances: Spoken Word Artist, Lady Brion, and International Hip Hop Recording Artist, Stan "Substantial" Robinson.

ABOUT ARMS
Antiracism for Maryland Schools (ARMS) is a statewide network of Black and Brown-led grassroots and advocacy organizations that advocates for racially and culturally responsive, life-affirming, and intentionally antiracist public schools in Maryland.
