The ACLU of Maryland's statewide grassroots lobbying efforts depend on your leadership. Make an impact in your community and our state capital.
At Lobby Day, you will join fellow Marylanders from your legislative districts in talking directly with your state legislators and their staff. Check out our Guide to the 2023 Legislative Session if you want to read up on the issues that we are dedicating significant time and resources on during session.
We will provide food and outreach materials, so just bring yourself! Annapolis can be quite a distance for many of us, so we are coordinating group transportation from Salisbury on the Eastern Shore and Frederick in Western Maryland. If you drive, parking is available at nearby garages and on the street. We can reimburse your travel expenses. Carpool if you can! Bring cash for some of the garages and make sure to check street parking signs. The venue is wheelchair accessible and compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Please note that participation in in-person events carries risk of COVID-19 exposure, and particularly to unvaccinated individuals. Please consider your personal health risks and, if appropriate, consult with your personal health care provider before deciding to participate. Do not participate if you conclude that you would be putting yourself, your loved ones, or others with whom you are in regular contact at risk by doing so. This is a personal decision for which the ACLU is not responsible.
