The 2020 Maryland legislative session may have abruptly adjourned almost a month early with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with you by our side, we still got big wins on several of our policy priorities, including:
- Equality for women exiting the legal justice system;
- Stronger fair housing laws;
- More equitable funding for public school facilities, and
- Progress towards ending race-based traffic stops.
You will also hear about several partial victories where there is more work to be done, including in the fight for racial equity for Maryland's schoolchildren, taking politics out of parole, and expanding access to the ballot to Marylanders who are incarcerated.
Join us on Monday, April 13, at 6:30 p.m. to get a virtual legislative update from ACLU of Maryland's public policy team and celebrate these wins with us!
