The fight for voting rights remains as critical as ever, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Be a part of this important discussion, and make sure you know how to exercise your right to vote in 2020.

CONSTITUTION DAY: "LET PEOPLE VOTE!"

Join us for a Constitution Day discussion about the most pressing voting rights issues facing our nation and our state.

Tuesday, September 22, 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Online Event

SPEAKERS

  • Dale Ho, Director of the national ACLU’s Voting Rights Project
  • Monica Cooper, Director of the Maryland Justice Project
  • Joanne Antoine, Executive Director of Common Cause Maryland

Our esteemed speakers will address nationwide concerns about voting rights, including dangers posed by a weakened U.S. Postal Service during the pandemic. They will talk about the statewide campaign to ensure that Marylanders who are currently in jails and prisons – but who still have the right to vote – have access to the ballot. And they will talk about the longstanding  effort to protect the rights of Maryland voters, especially Black and Latinx voters, to ensure they have the information to make their votes count during this critical election.

This year’s Constitution Day symposium is more timely than ever. Maryland must safeguard the vote and guarantee our communities’ health during the times of COVID-19, because it both deeply impact our rights, our lives, and our well-being.

RSVP today for Constitution Day 2020.
