Sarah Dwyer is the patient access navigator for Planned Parenthood of Metro Washington DC (PPMW), where she works to eliminate barriers for patients receiving abortion and other forms of sexual and reproductive health care. Prior to working at PPMW, she volunteered with the Baltimore Abortion Fund from 2016-17 and the DC Abortion Fund from 2018-22, the latter of which she served as the Maryland deputy director of case management from 2020-2022. In addition to her eight years of abortion care work, she volunteered with the Refugee Youth Project in Baltimore from 2016-2017 and provided Medicaid case management to adults with disabilities from 2018-2021. Sarah lives in Prince George’s County with her husband and stepson. When she's not advocating for reproductive justice and health equity, she can be found crafting, reading, cooking, tending to her herb garden, and immersing herself in some form of joyful movement.
