One hundred and forty-three people were killed by police in Maryland from 2015 through 2023. This report documents who they were and how they died and exposes a public safety and public health crisis rooted in systemic and institutional failures. Our report includes a searchable database, allowing readers to find, sort, and filter information about each encounter and conduct their own analysis of the data.
