Michael is a Romanian born, political refugee to the United States. He has served as a medic in the U.S. Army and in the Israel Defense Forces. Michael has a doctorate in molecular biology from the Weizmann Institute of Sciences, Rehovot Israel, followed by postdoctoral studies at M.I.T., Boston MA. He is a graduate of the U. MD Law School. He practiced corporate law with an emphasis on intellectual property at Foley and Lardner and at Frank, Harris, Shriver, and Jacobson. Major case work was in the field of international agrobiotech. He has contributed pro-bono legal services.
Michael has a passion for understanding and promoting the fundamentals of an equitable society. In recent years, he has been involved as an Executive of the Howard County Coalition for Immigrant Justice and has contributed to immigrant justice legislation in Howard County and to termination of Howard County’s Intra-Government Services Agreement with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.
