Emried (“Em”) Cole practiced law for 35 years, initially in-house at CSX Transportation, Inc. first as a regulatory litigator and then as vice president of law and risk management. Later, he was of counsel and partner at Venable, LLP with a largely transactional practice. Since 2005, he has worked at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg as vice president of advancement and, since his recent retirement, as consultant. He directed the successful effort to rehabilitate and repurpose a Civil War building at the Seminary as a museum. Cole lives in Baltimore City.
